I personally think you did a great job for your first real attempt at it. It looks superb. One way you could make it little more life like, would be to take a 1px brush, and work in some finer lighter strands, to simulate highlights. And then just dodge and burn in some lighter/darker areas to give depth..For your first hair, this is impressive though. Great work!!

Awesome character Rudy! How did you proceed? Did you imported this Poser character in Bryce and makes the postwork? Because I know that to import a Poser character in Bryce isn't very good...Have you a particular method? And what character did you used? V3? What morph? Tell us all!!! lol! I have a Wacom tablet recently and have not yet tested it. It seems to me that this allows to make a really fantastic postwork... specially for hair, and all these small details so difficult to make with only a mouse. Thank you for your answer:):)

Thanx for the comments all! I dont use a special method, but spend more time on the lighting. The character is Victoria 2. After the posing, i just import the obj into Bryce, and ungroup the whole thing. For the texturing, i use SteffyZZs Yuma and add the textures and transmaps for each part. I use the same textures as bumpmaps. Eyes usally look like crap, so those are added per post later on. Also made some color corrections. Thats basically it. :)

This is wonderful bryce render Rudy. The lighting is spot on and love the colors. Your tex work is fantastic. For your first attempt at hair you have done a great job, looks very good to me. I do have to agree about the addition of finer lighter strands. Still, no biggy and well done on a top job. ---- Scott.

Wow, she's lovely. I like especially lips and eyes, but the whole face looks nice. I don't love so much Poser characters because they look like "Barbies" in most cases, but this is great, and the skin IS skin. Did you paint all hair? I know it's a hard work, sometimes, but I like better soft painted hair than thorny Poser hair. :o) - Carlo

i think the world awaits the outcome of the 3-way collision of Wacom, Bryce and Rochr. That's what I think. I think I can hear her speaking swedish fluently.... What's she saying? Dang it! I can't speak Swedish! :-)

Super job first time up, I agree with MikoO. After reading a couple hair tuts myself and a few attempts, from what I understand its darker->lighter and curves.
