To me the most outstanding feature of this image is the choice of vegetation..they go together...most of the images seen on this forum, have plant combinations which woould never be seen in the same habitat...congratulations!

Love the lighting, the way it reflects off the water so brightly is excellent. Some would think that it it too bright, but in otherwise dark surroundings like this where the light does shine through, it becomes intensified by the surroounding lack of light. I enjoyed viewing.

I'm of two minds about the light: I like the effect of strong contrast it gives breaking through the canpoy, but think it is just a little overdone for comfort. The foliage and overall composition are both excellent. I'm not too sure that this is a typical habitat for flamingoes - purely from TV and photos I've grown accustomed to associating them with shallow exposed lagoons in large open plains - but whether that is right or wrong hardly matters given the beauty of the scene.
