Description

Modeled and rendered in LightWave 3D. Just a test for textures and materials for an upcoming Sports Bar product I am working on with Platypus3d. I'm not sure if these are going to be the final furnishings, but the spiral staircase turned out pretty decent. Far from finished with modeling everything

Very nice Moe....although I like the Sci-Fi bar better this one would be cool too. I haven't been clubbing or to a bar in forever, reminds me of old times =) Great job! Cris

Sports Bar? don't forget the Big-Screen TV & multiple ceiling-mounted tv's mounted to be seen from all directions - Most Sports bars around here (LA Beach Communities) tend to have many small round tables about 3-1/2 to 4 feet tall, with h several high stools clustered around each. Seems to keep the patrons up high enough that people walking by don't obstruct the view of the ceiling-mounted TV's. The tables are usually pretty close together (barely room enough for waitresses to maneuver, and just big enough for several drinks and a plate or two of appetizers). Sometimes there're wooden booths along walls for patrons in the bars that offer lite lunch service as well (wooden partitions, tables, and benches, not designed for comfort). What you've done here looks really good, ( I especially like the lighting patterns on the great brick wall), but the low chairs make me think more of a hotel lounge-type bar than a sports bar.

Moe this looks great! The spiral stair turned out awesome! I'll have to agree with leather-guy on the big screen TV's though. Definately need them in a sports bar.

Dartboard. And one of those daft little touch-screen solitaire machines that have been cropping up on bar counters across America in the past decade ... not that I like them, but they're definitely a staple of the genre. And while you're on arcade machines ... maybe a cocktail tabletop arcade game, like PacMuncher or something.

Nice work! I love the "subtle color palette", it really sets the mood. Great textures, great design on the furnitures, great lightning and so on, and so on =) Though, it lokks a bit to sofisticated to be a sportsbar... Put some more polys in the stairway, it looks superb!

I'm liking the look of this so far. The color scheme is definitely working. Have you tried any renders using a shorter focal length/wider angled lense? I like the floor texture. The polygons are showing in the spiral handrail in this image. I'm wondering how your final turned out. :)
