Duder, are you looking to maybe sell that model and texture set? That's an awesome looking rifle. Well, not-rifle, I guess. Why would you use unrifled barrels? How much time did it take you to develop the geometries and textures?

Polygonal barrels are better than rifled barrels with the same effect regarding stabilisation. Its a pretty new technique. Just think of it as an octagonal or hexagonal tube that is twisted along its length. The advantage ist, that these barrels do nut suck up that much dirt from the propellants and they have the same rotary stabilisation, while not slowing the bullet as much as rifled barrels. Right now I havent thought about selling my models, because they are mostly built for effect and thus not very polygone effectice. 120.000 points and polygones is far too much for most users. The modelling of the rifle took about 5 hours, arranging the scene was another hour. The model is not really textured in this render, just colored. Parts like the grip detailes are all in the mesh. By the way: Unlike my handgun designs, interior working parts are not modeled in this gun, because I find autofire rifle loading mechanisms a bit too complicated to model just for fun.

Ill think about it. Oh yeah, BenN: I hope you noticed that by adding additional comments, you automatically erase your privious ones! This is not a chat and Im only allowed to make multiple comments because its my picture. Think about it. You already deleted two of your comments just to make some rather short statements. Just try it via e-Mail next time ;)

ups, I have to admit, I haven't noticed that blush Well I guess then I have to start again... I think the scene is pretty cool, with the strewn around rifles and bullets. The shadow in the corner looks nice. As said in the previous, now deleted comment, I think the picture could still be cooler (if thats possible at all g) if there were a second, carbine version in the picture. That would rock. Oh, and I love your IMBEL-Designs, they all have this sleek design, especially the SMG and AR, and it's great that they all share some common features, so that they really could be designed and produced by one manufacturer. The SMG and AR share the same, general handguard design, with the ventilation holes in it, and they seem to use the same loading handle. And the shotgun uses the same shoulderstock. Thats a pretty nice touch in the designs.

Hmm,bolt handle, why its so low positioned? if it moves with bolt it even cuts you thumb off...

How do you come to think the cocking handle qould move during fire? As it is not directly connected to the ejection port that would be absolutely unneccessary. The more moving parts a weapon has, the faster it degenerates.
