The lightning just blows me away, so do the characters. I especially like the little dude with the glowing eyes - really scary. And I have to agree with you quote, but love has to hurt sometimes. Hey, that's life! :)))

wicked render, the character on the left surely deserves some animation. i agree with bonker about the sword, it does look a little out of proportion, but there's not much you can do other than to alter the lighting. cool image.
