A quickly using my SA32-T model. I was expirementing with poor man's particle effects, as I don't have PyroClusters or Thinking Particles. Basically just using the old videogame alpha map trick - I think if I tweak the map and add some flame coloured particles as well, it might not look too bad! Also the sand/dust in the background is an animated FBM alpha noise map on two planes and moving the planes closer (not to be confused with the AIRplane hehe), doesn't do a half bad job on creating a sandstorm moving in effect. Comments are welcome :)

It seems to work OK right up until the sand storm alpha plane passes through the smoke trail polys....ouch!!. Still looks like great fun though.....;-)
