An image done for one my best friends. It's a character from a long running fantasy serial we've been writing off and on since 1989. Blizzard (that's his nickname - his real name WinterStorm) is an Each Uisge (or Aughisky). "An each uisge is analogous with the more coomonly known faery horse, the Kelpie, but far more dangerous. After he carried the unsuspecting victim into the water, it would tear him apart and devour the entire body except for the liver. As long as the each uisge is ridden in the interior, he is rather harmless. But the merest glimpse or smell of water would mean the end of the rider. The creature assumes human shape, woos maidens, and can be recognized only by the water weeds in his hair. " Funk & Wagnalls Standard Dictionary of Folklore, Mythology, and Legend.
