Description

*Home Sweet Home: There's no Sun like the one which shines here, under your sky.* ------------- For the February Theme, (A sense of Space) I attempted the portrait of my town. I was adviced from the 2D Forum people to take all time to colour it. Now, 2 months after, you can see the results :) Enjoy :)

Quick response...I've never been to florence so I don't know if it's accurate, but I like what I see, well-sketched :)

It's great to see the sketch to see how incredibly well you couloured it...the sketch in itself is already very good and you can see the beauty trying to break free :) Just doing all the houses and so on takes its time I can imagine. even if the details are not fully taken yet, it is so impressive.. :)

Aaaargh! (that means I am jealous; you have time and opportunity to improve; I have not). IMPROVE? was there anything to improve in your drawings? I hardly remember. I think there was not.

When I commented this in the forum I said I was so sorry that I never have been in Italy. Your sketch an even more your painting wake up my longing to see this wonderful town. Beautifully done!

Your hand did not depart nor your eye lose focus in the jumble and sought out the man-made and natural to render a complete piece.

Well, it's sweet in itself, but gives little hint of the superb work that was to come. I've been patiently awaiting this for so long, it seems :-)

This is a beautiful sketch! I love the feeling of a quick shot although I think it wasn't quick at all...

WOW, Meli! This is unbelievable!! The attention to detail is absolutely OFF THE SCALE!! The renassiance masters (di vinci, etc) would have a hard time beating this one!! This is a truly beautiful work of art!!

Wow, cityscapes! Haven't seen any of that genre in Your beautiful gallery before, Meli. Exceptionally done. You prove that if a person has an artistic talent, no matter what he draws - people, scapes... Firenze must inspire its citizens to portray it, - I really envy You :) Gorgeous place and remarkable artwork. Wish to see other cityscapes of Your if there are any. Anyway there'll be, I hope.

this is fantastic! with a few perfect strokes it contains all the detail the eye can hold... and, i think i remember that viewpoint! better than any photo. amazing how you make "texture" and "color" with only black pencil on white paper.
