BIOWaylan, decided at the age of 9 years old, that his life work would be that of an artist. He has spent many hours of each and every day working on that goal. Not a day goes by that he is not drawing, painting, or working on projects in his computer.
He took private art lessons while young and had great teachers in public school that helped him with his goal. Upon graduating Nimitz High School in May 1990, Waylan entered Art Institute of Dallas in June studying Commercial Art. While in the Honor's class at Art Institute of Dallas one of his designs was chosen by Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to go on the T-shirt for the February 1992, Race For The Cure. In 1992, he received an Associate of Applied Art Degree in Visual Communication. Two years later he returned to Art Institute of Dallas and in 1996, received Associates of Applied Degree in Computer Animation.
His art jobs have all been Freelance for various organizations and individuals. The last few years he has been working on series of flowers. The first three being The Guardian Angel Blossom, The Desert Fire Rose, and The Waterfall Blossom. His work is mainly hung in private collectors homes.
