I just love SF art. It combines grandeur, adventure, and the hope that humans will be still be around in a century or two. I'm still an amateur, and I enjoy the community and support I find here at Renderosity. BIO I'm a fairly typical geek. I love sci-fi, role-playing games, chaos and complexity, artifical life, and computers. However, if I were a D&D character I'd be multi-classed, since I also know how to dance, sing, possess some social skills, and have a wife and child. Currently I write online classes in how to use project management software.

It is amazing. I love it. But there is my another comment. Virtually, things don't get 'rust' or 'corrosion' in outer space as there is no oxygen. Nonethess, this is really an amazing picture with right lighting, angle and size of those objects.

Great rusted spaceship. We guess it was already in that state when it left the home planet ;-)Maybe the image looks better if the starfield (the little dots) were not there? The two tiny figures give the vessel a huge dimensions. Love it!

Hail fellow Dogaphile..it is just too easy, ain't it?..;) y'know, the corrosion could be coming from inside, working it's way outward..;) Guess they're out there performing the Navy's 'if it's too big to pick up, paint it' task..;)

Gees! some people need to quit kavetching! there may be no "rust" in space but there is high atmosphere/low orbit corrosion. Then there's the corrosion from radiation...so just keep the rust buckets coming!!
