Description

On Sunday, Feb 18, 2001, Dale Earnheart hit the wall in the last turn of the Daytona 500. He died instantly. To all the families of NASCAR and their kin, my heart goes out to you. I have been to the 500 twice, enjoying the openness of the people, the crews, and the men who drive the machines. My father, and my husband, both fighter/bomber pilots, respected and admired the people of NASCAR, and their traditions. They understood The Arena. They, like in no other sport, reach out and welcome you. Dale Earnheart, The Intimidator, will surely be missed. Amanda Helenna

Yes...thank you for this tribute...he was the main reason I watched racing...I will certainly miss seeing his black #3 running the ovals and cheering him on...

I know flibi. I am terrible at names and a bad speller. But it is for him, and in this sad time, it's not important. Just remembering him is. Among NASCAR folks, just the name "Intimidator" is enough. =)
