Description

created using the exellent tutorial www.mgfx.net 12hrs to model. 4hrs to texture, 2hrs to render. I know the scene lacks some of the finer details like light switches and even lights. Also no radiosity due to the massive render time a test render took. Thanks for viewing. Any commments welcome

Hmmm. Good start. There's too many sharp corners, though. That camera angle is a little... weird. But doing great so far.

nicely done, but please never ever light a scene like this ever again. hehehe i dont what you did, but im messed up here. It's beacause of all the bars (?) and the light in the middle, it get a "explosion" effect... all force from the middle.. dunno how to explain otherwise. Hhehehe, never mind me... just rampling here nice modelling

LOL @galactron22's comment about looking like the Resident Evil house--I concur. I like the camera angle in this image...it provides an interesting look at the declination of the stairs; other scenes I've viewed with staircases such as this don't use the same perspective--they mainly look "straight up and down" for lack of a better term. I also like the texture used for the tiling; it is reminiscent of Italian style patio tiles. One question, though. Is it supposed to be stone tile or wood grain flooring? From your lighting, it is difficult to ascertain the content of the texture. But other than that, I really like this image. The camera spin provides a unique view and your textures are phenomenally wonderful. The only thing that frightens me is the twelve hour render time...YIKES!!! 5 out of 5, 4 stars, 2 thumbs up, this picture is great!
