Nice modeling, but in my opinion the texture looks too uniform on the arches. About your question (I'm not a Lightwave user, but it applies for all programs) if you render your animation at 30 fps, 800x600 with no compression, you're asking too much of your hard disk while playing back the movie. Most likely it is dropping frames because the hard disk can't keep up with the amount of data it has to read. I suggest that you render your animations at 720x480, using the DV codec if you have a digital camera and firewire ports (if you have a mac, you have them, if you have a PC and don't have these ports, you can buy a card for $60-$80) and you can view your animations with great quality on your TV screen! :D Hope this info is useful.

Totally agree about the texture repartition, but didnt want to nitpick cos I thought as a whole it was pretty damn good, but would have to say as a point of principle tilling is a no-no. Also seem to remember reading one of your previous captions where you described the scenes construction as being chiefly brought about using Boolean operations, which surprised me as I always find these can be messy and require some cleaning up, surely spline building would have given more control and a better outcome, but what the hell I suppose every one has their favourite way of Woking, nice image anyway. ;-)
