Description

If I walk out of my front door I can be at this spot in 20 minutes, and I did just that today. This is a recently-felled clearing in Burbage Wood, south Leicestershire, UK. The wood anemones are in bloom at the moment and it struck me to attempt a panorama-montage. This is the scene as it was a few hours ago (5th April 2003). I took five separate shots, slightly overlapping, and stitched them together in Photoshop, also tinting and contrasting. I have some dedicated stitching software but haven't delved into it yet - I just love Photoshop :-) This is my second "panorama" posting in my gallery - the first was "Beach Strip" taken with my old Pentax SLR. Thanks for looking :-)

How beautiful. Surely one month before Sweden. Your image gives me hope of spring here too.

Something about that green is so ethereal! I expect wood nymphs to come tripping out from behind a trunk at any moment! Thanks for sharing it
