Description

Before you pull out your Dictionaries. lol... Ill give you the def. "Masks Lie" And yes, they all so do. It takes a lifetime to truly know someone, even then you still cant be sure. Unfortunately, everyone has at least one, some people have collections. Some say its just personality, others something else. We wear a mask every moment of everyday of our lives. When we goto School, hang with our friends, visit with our parents, goto church, or goto work, we wear what we believe to be an appropriate mask for the occasion. "Does this mask make me look fat?","Does this mask go good with my outfit?" Makes you wonder... If your mask/personality/soul changes... for anything you come across in your everyday life... do we have a true, pure, face underneath? or is it blank and molds and shapes like lava. Think about it Enjoy.

interesting. As sociology scholar, I could actually disagree partially about what you say of negative about masks, and I could call them in 75% of cases "skills of adactability and strategies in various situations", which are, as you actually said, just faces we show (aptly or not, that's the point which defines the skill in strategy and understatement of environment) in determined circumstances. But it's true that often, especially in times when we are not sure about our own personality, we tend to hide our real self and wear "masks" not as they are sides (honest ones) of our personality but like the face we think it's more acceptable by others, therefore a fake self we don't feel fine with. There's a thin balance though between the fake essences of masks , and the skill of variate our way to be(remaining true to ourselves) which tells about having actually A REAL personality. This artwork is intriguing. I remember syndroid posted something on the same subject some time ago :)you might love to check it too :)

This one hurts to look at. Who am I under the masks. Am I no one. Your image raises that question.

Youv'e reached the first mile-stone - Awarness - There is validity to the concept - However - It is not universal neet package as you have discribed - Most often it is a manifestation of Insecurity - So thats my 2 cents worth - Nice Mask - You don't need it though -

we wear "masks" in order to adapt to situations. All those different masks will eventually determine who we are. It's the perception of other that defines our essence, not our self image.
