Description

Bares little resemblance to the picture I was trying to create, but I'm not at all sorry for that. Seemed to take on a life of its own as it developed and took about six hours overall (not including the building of the house, which was done some time ago for another piece) Took some of my inspiration from the view from my window where I work at my computer, of a stone wall overgrown with various plants and trees. The view in question looks nothing like this, but it pointed me in the right direction. The house is built entirely from Bryce primitives. The foreground wall is made up of 6 or 7 lattices. Bryce trees, ferns from Transpond at RDNA, Kromekats ground and ivy textures. Thanks guys - you make this work even more of joy for me with your incredible products. Thanks as always for taking a peek, hoped you liked it - Ian.

Nice image. The composition leads the eye right to the house.

The remote location of this house reminds me a little bit of Bran Castle, which was once inhabited by Vlad Tepes(Vlad The Impaler). I love the enviorment, well done.

Everything fits, sky, light, tree without leaves, intransparent window(due to reflection) and building is creating a very special mood with a slight mystic touch !

Thanks all for the comments. To answer Marty, the house model was based on a 3d image I saw once on another site - can't remember where now. I built my own version for a previous pic. I think it's better represented here. I wouldn't be surprised if it's based on a real building - it has that feel about it. I was just pleased I could build a decent representation in Bryce. Thanks again...

Stunningly beautiful, what goth mood and the yellowish overtone had made it somewhat antiquated and historical. Nice efforts!!

Well, they have said it all, the image is beautifully spooky, expecially the way the house seems to grin at you...
