Description

Democracy| Where Ignorance Decides Of course this is all true. The ignorant masses decide in democracies. People with no reference except for their ignorance choose like a blind child surrounded by mirrors. Like lemmings they just "do what everybody does". The freedom to choose lets the power shift towards the simpletons. The dream of democracy only exists in a Utopia, where all people are equal and therefore share the seems desires. Syndroid

Also the ones who complain....never vote, and are the ones who really should vote, so the votes continue to be dominated by the ignoramuses. Excellent image!

Democracy in our society does not work. no one can be represented equally, but we are an imperfect species, how can we expect a perfect system to control us? "Democracy" "terrorism" and "fascism" mean nothing now. A terrorist is someone who is willing to kill themselves for waht they see as freedom, a democrat is someone like tony blair who doesn't regard the voice of his people, and a fascist is someone like George Bush. Great image and a powerful message.

Bush is not a fashist. Fashism is based on an ancient Roman government of senators where things were done for the people, but not by the people. All the Bush government did for the people is create more than 2,5 million extra unemployed, and for the world, a "fuck you" to the Kyoto agreements and a terrorist war on an Arab country that never threatened the States (where are those mass destruction weapons?) and has nothing to do with 11/9. Yet: don't hate him. He's only a puppet in a game that he doesn't understand. Which is no wonder.

Actually... Aeneas... if you check your current events... 2 days into the war... iraq forces fire "SKUD" missles @ US troops.. (THEY SAID THEY HAD NONE) and on 4-3-03 they found a plant where 2 types of nerve gas chemicals were being produced. So yes... US proved within 2 days of war that iraq was lieing. Syndroid.. sorry for that.. i just hate people who listen to 1/2 the news and think they knwo it all.. youve done another great piece here... :claps: i love the way your style is going... evolution...

My opinion is that ignorance finds a comfortable home in the fallacy of capitalism and consumerism. Everyone is working too hard to earn more money than they'll ever need, so they don't have time to dig around for the truth. I still have faith in the ideals of democracy, but I think I share your frustration with the current system. Excellent artwork.

Great picture. A democratic system works when people make informed decisions not based on sound bites.

How can you stand to live in a world where you think "everyone" is ignorant? How can you be such an elitist to think you are in a place to label the masses ignorant? Very nice work, I just happen to disagree with your statement. Then again, isn't that what art is all about.

ignorance of the masses is mantained purposefully by the dominant class, in order to keep their dominance... thus democracy becomes a beautiful fake.

Weird...I wrote this on another message board today. We were talking about the same thing. "See....I've been yelling at everyone that the education system is fucked up... People care more about American Idol than they do about the issues that are importantly deciding everyday life things. Then as soon as a war happens, everyone thinks they know exactly whats going on and know exactly who is right. Then they get pissed when anyone disagrees with them because [sarcasm]the Right and The Just is soooooo obvious[/sarcasm] These high school education citizens have no desire to take part in the country until it comes down to blind patriotism."

Yes the US proved that Iraq was lying, but when does a government NOT lie? Yes, Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and ties with Al Qaida because our president says so. Because Colin Powell has a fuzzy picture that PROVES Saddam has chemical and biological weapons. That is ignorance of the masses. Do you always do what you're supposed to do? Think what you're supposed to think? Buy what you're supposed to buy? Do you follow the path of least resistance?

As someone once observed : "In a democracy, all the idiots get the vote. In an autocracy, some of the idiots get the power". Which situation the world is in if the Bush admin gets reelected as war heroes running a mangled welfare system, a massive deficit and an astronomical offense budget is a matter for the US population to decide. The rest of us merely get to watch :o(
