Nice framing of your image, with the trees at the left and rocks at lower right. (although I didn't know Vikings got that far south!) Good job, you're doing fine!

Vikings did indeed get that far, they went to most of the contrys arond the mediterrainen sea, and even as far as america.. The northern parts but even so.. What disturbs me a bit about the picture is that the boat seems to have wind in the sails, but it is a completly flat waterline.. either I would loose the sail, or make a terain for the awater showing some kind of movment.. Other wise great idea, and nice frame, also the texture is good.. Oh and you may also try lower the boat so that the ore reach the water?? Benny

The oars wouldn't touch the water if they were anchored offshore necessarily or if they were being used. They'd be raised from the water, shifted forward, dipped back in and then stroked back to propel the boat forward. Can't leave the oars in the water to shift them forward or you'd be stroking against yourself ;)
