what did you render this in? the scene rocks, love the candle too; you could almost remove the 3 profiles of the axe and pan back to make this a totally complete medieval scene, awesome.

The scene was of course modeled completely in Rhino, and rendered in Carrara. Go to the "all the works of Dethblud" page to see a variant on this that is a complete medieval scene.
