my attempt at a mammoth...now if i could only figure out how to make them look "wooly"..lol
helpful suggestions are more then welcome as i would like to finish the textures and apply them

I would make a texture tile.. using fur effect in Eye candy. You can make it so it is seamless I know because I made some for Avatar hair for Avatar makers in Outer worlds.com...Wonderful Picture! Actually beautiful..and I love them as is.. they look wooly enough.. Did they have long hair? I know..what you can do.. Use a photo of me.. I look like a wooly mamoth LOL
