I really like the armorin this picture The red hair goes well or helps set off this pic. A couple of suggestions to possibly consider 1: give the guard in the background a little more of a relaxed look. 2: you might want to try to get the tip of the fire in consolidated point maybe.

The armor looks prety cool! So does the lightning. Regarding the fire on the torch...have you every tried the PS plugin Eyecandy4000? you can add flames and smoke in various forms and colors. An example can be found in my image "The Guardian". :)
