Nice pic, I agree you have captured the mood. However, all the horses legs look like they are posed the same, maybe lift one slightly, IMHO

Thanks for all you comments on this one! I had done the horses legs in motion, but instead wanted to convey a pause in their quest.. as if gathering their waning strength for one more quest.

I love this picture, Noel! I recently found an old copy of a story I wrote called When England Ruled on High. The cover for it was this picture...brought back some memories! This is by far my favorite.
