Description
Amazing what one can find at RDNA at 5 AM. Hummingbird simply rendered against a natural background from Sophie's Woods with some minimal postwork in PSP.

not to disrespect antje, but "very nice" is such an understatement from where i sit... i could get lost in the green and the light, and within the delicate beauty of the bird...

frodo, this is so beautiful; 5 a.m. must be a good time to work. It might possibly benefit from a bit of a motion blur on the wings, but that light effect is incredible. Definitely has my vote today.

Great! I like the postwork a lot. The mood is transported so well! Cheers Oliver

Gorgeous! I agree that a bit of motion blur on the wings would enhance what is already a fabulous composition. Wonderful to see Sophie's Woods again, too. :)

Oh how I love this. Humming birds are beautiful.. I've been priveleged to see several varieties of them. In Colorado I saw ones that were at flower level with was about shin high.. sipping the nectar from these reddish orange flowers. They looked like tiny jewels. I was just taken in by the magic.. this wonderful picture has that same magic.

26 grams: the weight we lose when we pass away, said to be the soul...also the weight of a hummingbird =) magical image indeed!
