Description

On a recent visit to Montserrat W.I where there is an active volcano, I was able to get quite a few photographs and the volcano was quite helpful puffing periodically. I decided to try and do some more work with Alphaplanes and so this image was created. The water and rocks are Vue, the textures are mine. There was a small amount of post creation work done in PSP 7.02. Thanks for viewing...your positive comments have been encouraging and is very much appreciated.

very kewl view of Montserrat. So much power in the volcano. Beautiful and devastating in the same breath. From the photos I have seen of it unleashing onto the island, I know I would not have wanted to be standing too close when it blew it's top. Excellant image Joe. Thank you for sharing.

If you added some trees and stuff to the foreground, it would take some of the focus of the background and you wouldn't have to use the "paint"-effect :) Nice job!

The vulcan looks great Joe and the image all together looks great too. But it doesn't look at a Vue image :-). The photo in the background is too evident. My 2 cents;-)

Forboding, suggestive of an impressive point in time....nature at it's most intimidating. Well done.
