Is this referring to Iris the Greek goddess of the rainbow or the flower? I think either would be appropriate as we are rapidly approaching Beltane.

My mother had Irises growing in our back yard. The purple flowers bloomed every spring. This triggered that memory for me. The rendor itself looks like a fine, transparent silk scarf with the light shining through.
