Description

Well, I've been a member of Renderosity for months now, and I haven't posted a darn thing until now. Finally! Okay, so about the pic... This picture is based on a photograph I took several years ago in an alley. IMO, the photo is much cooler because the graininess of the film and the overcast day gave the picture a much nicer atmosphere. This was something that I could not technically do with Cinema 4D because of my lack of knowledge on how to do these things in Cinema 4d. I would like to post the pic so you could see, but it is a slide and has not yet been scanned. The 3D picture does closely resemble many things very well in my opinion. The bricks, and the window are very similiar, as well as the composition. I used Cinema 4D 7.3. HDRI image to light the scene -- zero lights! Obviously, this is quite a simple little picture, but it was fun to make. I am a beginner at Cinema 4D and this was a quick project that allowed me to learn some of the basics. When I finished it I was thinking that it is kind of funny how I'm using a 3D animation program and the picture I did is primarily 2D. Oh well... I guess there are some 3D elements in the picture. I want to thank those here at Renderosity, especially those guys in the Cinema 4D forum who are very helpful and make super nice and helpful tutorials. Audity, Cartesius, Cinema 1954, and several others that contribute their thoughts and ideas. Thanks! All comments are welcome, although this picture is final. I'm moving on to bigger and better things now that I have a little experience. Bye for now and I look forward to posting again! HORNO :)
