3D BeginningsBIOFilm Background:writer/filmmaker
Art Background:Illustrator since childhood
Computer Graphics Backround: certification in Adobe photoshop, illustrator
3D Background: Began learning my first 3D software January 2002 which was Electric Universe,I became frustrated with it crashing my G4 before moving on to Lightwave a month later.(Best guide to learning was "Inside Lightwave 6" and online tutorials)
3D Goal: To effectively apply the technique and style of my traditional art to the 3D palette...and spread the word that learning 3D doesn't have to be expensive

Hmm. Nice. If those are supposed to be patches of skin on him, though, you might wanna have a different tex for inside the cracks and maybe some nails or stitches or something on the edge. As is he looks a bit like a cracked golem.

Nah, the skin is workable with a little attention. My concern is that armour. Chuck a turb in the spec, and reflection, and add a fresnel grad to the ref. that should tone it off.

I like it!!

Verry nice. Just one but: you've got so much detail in the back and foreground and then you leave the floor just in a grey and flat plane???

I like this ....its very dark!

like the cityscape. color contrast between cold and warm works well. segmented skin helps shape of head and adds to expression. the neck and breast areas may need a little work. lighting this "cracked guy" should prove interesting.

Interesting; if anything needs to be altered, it would be the structure behind the character's right side....it seems sort of "transparent" like a composite that is too visible. Otherwise, it is an interesting piece.

Thinking about the difficulties that I have to place a simple sphere at the desired position, this is at least excellent ;-)
