A while back i started a different techinique in photoshop for colouring in my pencil work, and I re-approached it a week ago, and heres the result.. I paint with greys first, to establish a correct value, which I've had problems with in the past, and then use the paint brush in photoshop with the 'overlay' function turned on to put in the color.. Then I do color and value touchups.. Hope you like it.. Thanks!

this is one of my favs of yours... and it's interesting that you mention your problems with color. when i first got into computer art i was paralized by all the choices (somehow the computer color selection is more intimidating then watercolors or real paints) anyway, the first year or so's worth of images looked clownish and awkward... and you know, now, color is one of THE reasons i love the computer as medium. anyway, i wish i were clever enough to employ the technique you descibed - twould have saved me a year or so of 'color envy'. great gallery btw!
