Description

"The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout, Down came the rain and washed the spider out. Out came the sun that dried up all the rain, And the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the spout again." ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I was experimenting with low light situations and this turned out. I only wish the spider was a little sharper.

I really like the color and the idea. Did you try the sharpening tool? Or you could possibly try the burn tool to bring out the contrast of the spider which may help it seem more defined. Regardless of those ideas, it is still interesting :)

By the way.. I think the "blurred" effect adds to the image.. I like it :)

cool shot. you captured the "tangibility" of the spout very well. i feel i could reach out and touch it...

I like it...soft focused spider and all....although yes I agree it would have been optimal for the spider to be in focus..

Awesome subject. A more expensive camera would have made this an amazing shot. It still rocks as it is though. I am broke right now but I might soon splurge for a new camera. 2.0 megapixel is starting to suck for me.

Thank you all for your generous comments. Like I stated above, this was really an experiment. There are a few things that I would change on this, but overall, I liked the composition. "RedundantlyAbundant" - believe it or not, I am shooting with a pretty nice digital (4.0 megpix Nikon). Although, more often that not, faults are to be blamed on the photographer, not the camera- even on the cheap ones.

This is very cool, love the lighting. What mode were you shooting in? I do like the soft effect the image has, very nice.

Thanks for all the encouraging comments. I was shooting with my digital Nikon Coolpix 4300 under manual settings. I can't remember the specs.
