The lower sky is infernal indeed, as the literal meaning of "Inferno" is "what do stay below"...
[BTW: In this picture it takes much more than half of the lower half of the picture]
The literal opposite would have to be "superno", but it's "Paradise", Instead. Paradise, also "Pardesh" means originally "Garden".
[BTW: curiously, even if not so clearly visible in this picture there's really a little garden above: the slightly irregular faded "beard" breaking the deadly cartesian geometry of the structure (right of the center, against the sky) is what we can see of a little pine-tree]
