Description

This is my first ever attempt at digital painting. I have been painting with traditional mediums for some time but due to my husbands encouragment have attempted to switch to digital forms. This image was completed with nothing more than my new wacom graphics tablet and Photoshop 6. Please leave some comments as I would really enjoy the feedback. thanks Charley_mojo

Well your mojo is certainly workin'! This is gorgeous. Really love how you captured the sheen of the dog's coat and the feeling in the eyes. Absolutely superb!

Charley, I am not a dog lover, but I am very impressed with the quality of this image. It evokes a tip of the hat to the animal painters of the 19th century. I love the sheen on the fur. A very good attention to detail. You even seem to have captured the emotion in the animal's eyes. The fact that you are now trying to use your skills in the digital medium should not slow you down at all. Just learn the program's idiosyncracies and your traditional art skills will do the rest. Remember what we learned or were taught in school: practice, practice, practice. Welcome to the digital age...;o)

Must be time for some more pictures Charley ,I wanna see more, like Moe said "post more, post often and post soon!" I think on this one maybe the shadow detracts a little from the dog,but I'm searching for critique here,Well done!
