That's kind of hazy - here's one possibility. What's not noticeable in the image is that her ID badge says she's a field inspector for the 'Mars Reclamation Directorate'. So, if I steal a little from Kim Stanley Robinson, she could be looking at what I think he called a 'mohole' plume in the distance. These were responsible for creating a breathable atmosphere on Mars. From her face, it would seem that there must be something wrong with it.
