there's no shadows on the table itself...? you're working with lathe, aight? I tink it'll turn out just fine once you get the lights as you want them, try using uvw-mapping, if you haven't already...

heres an idea, put a target spot at a 45 degree angle pointing down on the image from the right, use shadow map on it, go to rendering toolbar, environment rollout, click add and pick volume light, now click pick light and click on the target spot, change the density to around 2-3 play about a bit. now put an omni light to the left of the image, in modify panel change the colour to a dark blue and set the multiplyer to about .3 - .4. again use shadow map. hit render and see what it looks like, play about with the stettings to get it looking right, hope it helps, also you could put a omni light directlu on the wik, go to atmosphere n effects in the modify panel, click add, pick lens effects, ok, then highlight lens effects in the little box and click setup, now highlight glow and click ">", this gives a candel like effect, play about with the size of the glow, adios amigo, liquid ;0)
