Description

An older image that was reworked lastnight to add hair and some other post work. A bit of a self Portriat. I like it better than the original, but I still plan to rework it in the future. Change the floor and some mats. Inspired by moods/feelings I have had from depression. Thanks for clickin in! -Bruce

Not sure that I should refer to it as concept since the image was evoked from deep within. Certainly full of expression and very well done.

You've certainly conveyed the feeling of depression well. One of my fav image of yours. I like this version even better. The blue makes this place seem cold and lonely. Well done, my friend!!

Bruce, first let me say that I appreciate the honesty and feeling in the piece. It tales a great deal of strength to show a less than perfect side of your personality or admit to something difficult. The scene itself is excellent and I much prefer the more monochromatic feel of this version to the previous release. The hair is also very well done and a great effort for a second try. here's a little tip. When you draw hair that has light/shadow transition, lower the layer opacity so you can see where the dark and light areas are. In this case the shadow line on the right (his right) should come a little lower down the side of the face, but other than that, you nailed it and should be proud in a big way. Great job old man :-)

I am quite familiar with depression myself, having suffered from it for most of my life. This is a supreme work of art.
