Just playing with a few new techniques! Painted freehand in Photoshop (backdrop is a modified photograph) using a Wacom Intuos Tablet. Thanks for viewing!

Really fine; its one of the best evocations of Lovecraft i've seen. Technical observation-- the creature's tonal values are very close to the rock-- it makes him hard to pick out. . .there is a Giger-esque technique where critters are very similar in color to their rocky habitat-- but then you might want to distinguish by texture or some other visual cue. . . Very good work!
