Description
This may not look like science fiction. It is. The very fact that you don't recognize it as science fiction image makes me feel good. I wasn't trying to create a fanciful image, but one based in reality. This is a tractor used to plough uneven terrain on other planets. Yes. Modeled completely from scratch in Bryce 5 using booleans, textures from scratch for the most part, a couple are from photos. Textures and post work in Photopaint. Hope you enjoy it! Please tell me what you think!!!

Simply amazing ScrewDryver. The 3rd person to view this image saw every single mistake. ;) Yes, you are right on all accounts. The wheel I don't really like, but hey, it's futuristic. It's a plastic wheel. (The rubber ones kept popping on the sharp terrain) Yes, I do my blur in postwork, and I had some trouble with this one. My mask could definantly be better. And the Words "his way" are part of a longer phrase, "Do not enter this way". Yes, printed on a solid wall. Guess that makes sense. Maybe. And the sky, yes. My clouds are a photo on a 2d shape, and one of the lights cast a shadow on it.... oops! I tried to fix it in post. Now it occurs to me that I could just as easy have turned off the "recieve shadow" selection. Oh well. BUt I'm honored that you looked at my image so long to see that!

Impressive model. I love the point of view down in the grass, great work man.

NICE MODEL, THIS IS MORE REALISTIC SCI-FI, AS OPPOSED TO SPACESHIPS AND GIANT FLOATING CITIES.

Excellent model. No antialising on the tractor... another mistake ? Not very important, your image is excellent ;-)

Very good modelling. As for the clouds, I will strongly suggest you to take a look at a very useful and great tut by Roobol (you can find the link in the tut sections). Very good work.
