I love the composition and texturing! In my opinion it is way too bright. Maybe adjusting some of the ambient light or changing the color of the lights you are using might help. Regardless, it is an excellent piece.

Excellent image for sure. What i'd like to see is a perspective more from a pedestrians position. I could imagine that this would make the whole scene a lot more "dramatic".

Thanks a lot for all those nice comments and ratings. At the moment I'm rendering the same scene from a differant angle and with a darker athmosphere. But I'm not sure whether I should like it better. Anyway - you'll see later on and judge. The buildings are from poserworld - I forgot to mention that - but are completely retextured by me. Steve makes great modells but the textures...hmmm

So very well done! The street looks a bit very clean to me. The stone-texture looks a bit very tiled to me and needs a bumpmap I think. It looks good enough from the front, but not so good from the side... Perhaps with a bit of contrast/les brightness in Photoshop or so and some dirt on the ground it's really excellent!!! (Forgive me the critics, but the better the image, the sharper the critics... I like the scene very much! )

Beautiful study. The only thing I'd consider changing might be to dirty-up the cobbles a bit. But for me the lighting is fine, as too is the PoV - although Wabe's suggestion might also produce an interesting variation on the theme. Anyway, gets my vote as it stands.
