Description

Just started working with Bryce, (about 10 days ago), this was my first attempt at a serious image. Some of the details are missing (no figures on the bridge of the sub, and that land mass could probably stand to have a few houses on it), but I spent so much time getting the waves and the wake right I didn't want to press my luck.

Very good work Riggo! The wake is fantastic! Perhaps just a lighthouse on the land? Kudos!

Thanks for the comments...The waves were fairly simple in concept... not so simple to pull off. They're basically 3 different terains that I made in the terain editor; I started with a smooth suface and painted some wake-ish bumps, then positioned them so they were just showing thru the water plain, then, in the materials editor, I copied the texture of the water plain and pasted it onto the waves. The foam at the front and back of the sub were made the same way, but with the "foamy seawater" texture with the transparency, difusion, and ambiance modified to blend in with the water plain. But it wasn't quite as easy as I make it sound... there was a LOT of trial and eror
