Its all a hobby really. Well a hobby that earns me a few quid on the side and consumes all my free time. In the last few years I have switched from making Lightwave models for my own images to selling the models as content for Poser and Bryce for others images. Fun that pays what more can I say. Besides Brit, Male, Married, Fifty *mumble* and loving it. ;)

As someone who renders in Lightwave, I'd have to say WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN BRYCE !!, the render quality here is dull, flat and muddy, Lightwave totally blows it away. The objects an' scene are great, but my advice is learn your program (Lightwave that is), burn your bridges and don't look back '-)

gerry_g point taken.

This image is excellent, and I don't think it can be better in Lightwave...

I've seen a lot of Lightwave images and a lot of them suck. The tools depend on the artist who uses them. I'm quite insulted by gerry-g's comments - Bryce is and always will be a superb program, and if you can master it you'll get stunning results. Expensive software does not the great artist make...nuff said.

I take gerry_g's point why did,nt I do it in Lightwave the truth is it was easier in bryce and I was happy with the result. I use Lightwave, Poser, bryce, amorphium, corel, photoshop etc. which ever does the job I want. I am not a pro so I don't care which programme I use and often use 3 or 4 to creat as long as I get the result I want.

I completely agree with RedSpartan. I'm not feeling insulted, but it's the pure truth that it's not the prog that makes the artist, gerry_g. Personally, I like a lot how this image came out, saschild, it's an excellent render, and you're right in using whatever app suites you best.

The Jupiter 2 meets the Falcon! Very funny image! I only wish some nations would take the hint in the real world...
