Thanx to all the great advice, i was able to fix up the original image. I'm still very open to constructive criticism so fire away:)

Great done surface,but pls do a rocky line between water and plants and imho necessary searching for a good cloud shape suitable to terrain.

What is really missing in this pictures is a good sky and mainly light control for better contrast zone and better textures view.Water is good and terrain too.

I agree with ISSE. I think it will look much better without so much vegetation near the water. That way you can show the effect of waves on the coastline. I like the colors you picked though because an art work doesn't always have to be too "natural". As long as it feels nice I think it's great!
