I know the feeling of getting disgusted when you see some of the awesome work others are doing and you ask yourself "why cant i do this?". It just takes time and its all a learning process. Besides, you dont want to copy anothers style, you want to develop your own. Dont give up regardless how frustrated you get, we have all been there. There are a lot of great people here that are more than willing to help you all you have to do is just ask. Keep on rendering!! Pedro

The wonderful thing about this site is the support and encouragement that others give so freely! Stick with it and don't give up! For a digital medium, I'm constantly amazed at how many recognizable and individual styles that people have. I agree with NightHawk-Don't value your images by how they compare with others, but instead value your own progress and improvement. The greatest measure of your work is your personal enjoyment in it's creation. Besides-she looks great!! Keep going!

I can relate to the discouragement thing. I remember when I too used to be in despair cause everybody else's work was so much better than mine. But I kept at it though, kept learning how to make an image look better. And now I get people telling me my own work is "amazing", saying they wish they could do stuff like mine--and I'm going "wow--how'd THAAT happen? :) You'll get there, too. Just keep thinking to yourself "how can I make it better?" and ask for help from the artists you admire most. Ask them how they did THEIR work. That's what I did. On this particular image, I'd say the hair and the background looks terrific. I'd want to move the camera back a bit and magnify the focal length--Poser has a default focal length that's way too short, which distorts facial closeups so noses and mouths look wrong (perspective distortion, similar to what a fisheye lens does) Ok this is now my longest ever comment. I'll stop now. lol :) This image has the potential to look awesome. keep learning, and you'll get there! I promise! :)
