This certainly portrays an evening out in the rain, from which the viewer is left to draw their own conclusions. Perhaps her night out turned sour, and her date became obnoxious forcing her to leave the festivities early and alone. Perhaps she was simply feeling groggy from too much wine and excitement and stepped out to let the downpour refresh her. Or it could have been a simple stroll home from the neighbor's small party and she got caught in the sudden deluge - whatever the tale behind the render - it is exceptionally well done - and a wonderful way to hide the tears of a disappointment, had there been one. Few artists are able to portray either rain or wet skin with accuracy - you are obviously not one of them. Gorgeous work Anna - and it gets my vote.
