I always recomment to use real 3d grass, but with this tex quality u dont need to! Excellent! (River bank may need some more vegetation)

Beautiful riverbank scene and extremely realistic: could easily be mistaken for a photograph. Well done - have a vote from me.

I like the realism of this, maybe if where the bank meets the water werenn't so stright cut... But you've done a superb work! I really love this!

Realism achieved. I agree with jgeorge about the bank.

jgeorge makes a good point, but it just proves that it's not a photo, it's a damned good 3D image. 8>)

I'm overwhelmed by all this encouraging response. For jgeorge and sackrat I should point out that this is a canal - an artificial river - which were designed to have straight banks for navigation.

It's a great job. I agree with peterbron. In my opinion the river banks needs more vegetation. The rest is absolutely realistic.

Very photorealistic! The running comment seems to be "a little more work on the bank" and I have to agree. It either needs more vegitation to hide the seam between land and water or a little more slope into the water with a slight transition of some kind. All that said, this is a wonderful image and I love the texture of the grassland! I would love to see a repost.

This is excellent stuff!!! I agree (sorta) about the bank. The bank it self is great...maybe a bit more vegitation on the ground in the foreground would bring this up to 10+++.
