Hey, I like your idea, Try giving it more depth. Try "Depth of Field" rendering, so that the eight ball becomes a point of emphasis.

Good comment Nos ... depth of field would be a good add on here! Nice work Nessifer...I still think a Reflection Map would help so the balls were not just reflecting the lights only... Good work!!
