it's a great model and a nice render to, but isn't snaredrums usually 14"x4,5" or 14"x5"?

I love this model. Excellent work. I also like the amount of detail you put into the snare strainer. one thing.. on the bottom/snare side head you should make it partially transparent or hazy. Bottom heads are made of lighter clear material than the top/batter heads :) Svaelt... snare drums can come in any depth or width. MOst modern drum companies produce snare drums that range from 10x3 to 14x7. Just depends on how much money you want to spend and what sound you want :P The standard snare size these days is 14x5.5 or 14x6 for new drumsets.

Great detailing on the model! I'm not expert in drums, but it seems real...

I've seen deep ones like this. There's usually a snap/clutch/whatchamacallit that engages/disengages the snare, probably on the other side tho..;) Great detail..drummers have a thing about snare drums, they always want their own, even with someone else's set..;)

Thanks for comments and notes all.. Vasaforever, I usually try out loads of different materials for each parts, but this time I might have forgotten the whole bottom head! laffs but it looks like a black non-transparent head, so no harm done I guess. I did make the clutch, but it's not very accurate so let's call it a "clutch-to-be".

Great detail on thin one!!! I'm verry impressed even with the "clutch-to-be" (tee-hee~) not being quite right ;)
