This was done with poser 4 and truespace. About 720 A.D Caesar absolute ruler and dictator of rome had a son what we are looking at in this picture is Octavia in the red the wife of Caesar and her sister Nietzsche in blue and of course the baby little Caesar. It was rumored in the senates that Pompey wanted to kidnap little Caesar to force his father to give up the dictatorship of Rome and return it to a republic, on hearing this Caesar like all dictators got paranoid and ordered his personal bodyguards to protect his son and wife. This brings us to the guards at the back of the two women. If you look closely at the Shields and helmets and also their spears you will notice that they are not Roman but instead they are Spartans. It was little known that Caesar had two divisions of bodyguards one was made up of Romans and the other of Spartans Caesar was a great admirer of the legend of the Spartans when they held off with 900 men the mighty armys of Persia, he was also a great admirer of Greek culture at the time of Rome Spartans still existed Hans of course the two soldiers at the back, it seemed that he trusted the Spartans a lot more then his Roman bodyguard of courses we know now looking back in history he was right.
