It looks like lots of garbage welded together. The magazine shape makes no sense, the stock is ugly and the grip looks like stripped from a revolver. If it was available, I wouldnt buy it. I consider the physical data provided as a parody. A funny one. One of the pillars of science-fiction is.. guess what? Science. By the way: What similarity is it supposed to have with an M-16?

I agree it could use some design improvements but take it easy Void. We're supposed to inspire through "creative criticism with insight" not "Idea bashing." I would say slim down the supression barrel and I get the light weight characteristics of the drilled stock. I wolud go for a less polishid metallic texture. But that's just my opinion.

Personally I would go ahead a start over with the textures on this. It give too much of a "built from scrap" look - not ideal when you are trying to get across a 'new' product or innovation. Unfortunately, I do agree with the Void's grip gripe - it just doesn't fit with the rest. I would scale the whole thing up a bit - it just looks too small in her hand, especially given the fact that it fires AP rounds. Firing AP rounds from something that small seems a little too far fetched. Now the only other shape change I might suggest would be to the grip for the non-firing hand - maybe mold it a little, for better grip? This would also cut some more theoretical weight.
