Description

A Focke Wulf 190A and a North American P-51 Mustang surprise each other coming out of the clouds,.......both pilots are so startled by each others sudden appearence, they bank in opposite directions and lose each other in the clouds once again. This is a true occurrence, it happened to one of my neighbors who was a P-51 pilot in WW2, it happened over central France in 1944, 59 years ago today, I made this image for him. Aircraft by Alfred Moyet(I think), ground texture rendered in Vue d' Esprit4 and imported into Bryce. Some post work in PS7.

Happily both pilots banked to the right. International regulations still remembered at war. Lucky yourself to have a veteran pilot as neighbor. Beautiful shot!!
