Description

This was inspired and done about 4 months ago....I bought some military 3D models, and made a few myself.....the humvee U see is a bought model. modified by myself to make up for what I thought were design flaws. The Cobra was done by myself and a freind of mine off a concept from another model, and the texture was custom done by myself and the same friend. All models were imported into bryce 5, and rendered into the scene. I then moved the image over to PSP7 and super imposed the american flag image and the eagles head using layers. I did this one because I am former military, and I am patriotic. I realize alot of people have different views on the war, and as one of those people, this art expresses a portion of my opinion. Hope you all enjoy it, and any feedback is always welcome.

I like the use of layers in the image. Also the reflections on the water are excellent. I would like to see you do an image showing the horrors of war...the bodies...the destroyed buildings...the injured...the looting...the faces of fear on the children.

Nice image, needs a bit of work but nice none the less. I don't see anything in this image or any of the other military images on this site that say war is fun. I don't see any laughing, happy people in any of these images. War is necessary sometimes. There are people who say no war for any reason. They are a lot more spirtually fit than I am. Why is it I never see any images decrying some of the brutal dictatorships that still exist all throughout the world, North Korea, mainland China, Burma, etc. Oh, that's right,....they're doing it to their own citizens so it's really no one's business, right ? I don't understand selective concern. Remember Plato's caveat: "Only the dead have seen an end to war".

Nice picture. Can't comment much further than sackrat on the whole war thing and theories and beliefs. Besides haven't more people gone to war over the course of man's existence in the name of their respective god(s). Hmmmm, makes one wonder who the "really bad guy" is, doesn't it. At the very least we aren't killing in the name of god. We're trying to protect our interests and prevent the lunatic extremists from running the show. And that makes us bad? At least we are free to express our opinion and beliefs and need not worry about execution for our beliefs. Something to think about.
