I always find the most simple techniques can sometimes look so good....
Made this while having a break from my alien character. Took 5 mins to model and texture and half an hour to render :)

cool! check out that matrix extrude, have been playing with that for ages. You can get some pretty nice abstract 'thingies' with them.

Oooh...Nice Spikey too!! Whatever it is, it looks great, just don't run around barefooted if you have any of them lying around! :)
